gorgeous scott upton install in nyc this past weekend!  as we have said before hidell brooks loves a perfectly placed painting.  artwork provides a focal point for any room.

love the recent hidell brooks install of a painting by ruth ava lyons above a set of large windows.  lost colonies by lyons is 78 inches long to get an idea of the space.

we are excited to open two solo exhibitions friday night for scott upton and katy schneider. both artists are coming into town for the reception from 6-8 pm.  there is no denying the fact that we get exhilarated every time a new show arrives at the gallery.

another incredible portrait completed by the ultra talented laura sanders.   laura paints a beautiful painting first that just happens to be a portrait.  every collector has been overwhelmed with her ability to capture her subject's essence to a tee.

we have enjoyed seeing how incredible the beautiful abstract paintings by windy o'connor look once they are hanging in our client's home.  it is amazing what a transformation just one painting can do when added to a room.

we love great art and a lot of it is has been showing up at hidell brooks gallery this fall.  kate long stevenson has just finished a wonderful group of new paintings fresh out of her studio.

hidell brooks gallery had the honor of hosting an event for the juvenile diabetes research fund last weekend with new orleans photographer robert x .fogarty on hand to take portraits of individuals living with diabetes.  

getting new work in by our artists is always a treat.  this week has been full of surprises at hidell brooks.  a gorgeous pair of paintings by abstract painter chris hayman arrived with the smell of wet paint still lingering on the canvas.
