the pandemic put a halt to our invitations so we figured we would start this year off with a bang. the awesome designer john lineweaver created the most beautiful puzzle out of all the new works our artists have created recently.

hot off the press the new charlotte home design & decor magazine arts & architecture issue is a stunner! one of gallery artist sarah helser’s paintings from her most recent solo exhibition this past fall is on the cover.

rolling into 2021 virtually with two amazing solo exhibitions for susan mcalister and charlie hanavich. both southern painters have been working hard in their studios over the last year building a new body of work.

so much goodness has come through the gallery doors over the last few months we had to share! the pandemic has spurred creativity across the board.

as we head into the last exhibitions of 2020 on election week during a pandemic we are experiences lots of emotions. the main emotion is grateful. grateful we have created a business that inspires us and gives us hope for the future.

we are over the moon with the new paintings by charlotte artist sarah helser for her october solo exhibition. sarah’s work is multilayered and achieved through a complex process using a wide array of materials.

we had a wonderful visit with tony hernandez in his studio before the new paintings were transported to the gallery for our current exhibition. to see the work in person for the first time after sneak peeks here and there plus hearing about the imagery evolving over time is such a thrill.

september brings another virtual opening for the gallery. four amazing exhibitions of new work by southern artists tony hernandez, rick beck, nate rogers and virginia scotchie. it is hard to describe our feelings this week while installing the shows.

we recently had a wonderful studio visit with north carolina artist rick beck to get a preview of new work for his upcoming exhibition at the gallery opening virtually september 4th.

one thing for sure lifting our spirits these days is all the amazing new work by our wonderful artists coming through the doors every day at the gallery. the pandemic is certainly causing a lot of creativity to flow.
