hidell brooks is featured on hillliard studio method with a testimonial by our very own rebecca brooks. we have always turned to liz hilliard to keep us toned and strong to be able to carry around the amount of art we do on a daily basis. we cannot have our arms quivering when we are holding up surprisingly heavy art at client's homes for what seems like infinity but is actually just a few minutes.
liz and her daughter clary have established themsleves as the go to class for toning your whole body. take one class and you will feel the burn for days. hard to believe we have been burning muscle for five years with hsm!
Liz Hilliard is a graduate of the Stott Pilates International Training Center in Toronto. She received her training from Moira Stott, “the First Lady of Pilates,” and is STOTT certified. In 2002 she opened Performance Pilates in Charlotte. Liz has a cutting edge and innovative approach to personal training and has enjoyed leading her clients to their fittest and healthiest selves.
In 2008, Liz began developing an expanded and radical version of mat pilates for her daughter Clary, who was a bride-to-be. Frustrated with the lack of physical results Clary was seeing from yoga five times a week and power walking an hour a day six days a week, the mother-daughter team got creative. By adding resistance to some basic Pilates moves as well as creating new exercises of their own, Hilliard Studio Method was born. And the results were undeniable! So much in fact, after her wedding and moving to Boston, Clary decided to become trained and teach Hilliard Studio Method as well. “Hilliard Studio Method® came as a natural result of my desire to push myself, my daughter and my clients to our next level of fitness while staying true to my Pilates discipline,” says Liz.
Clary Hilliard Gray is Hilliard Studio Method® certified as well as certified in Core Fusion, Core Fusion Sport and Core Fusion Cardio through Exhale. Between 2008 and 2010, Clary taught Hilliard Studio Method® to the Harvard Community in Cambridge, MA and the Core Fusion program at Exhale in Boston, MA. The summer of 2010 she moved back to Charlotte where she and her mom Liz continue to shape the beautiful women of Charlotte, one sub gluteal crease at a time.
