hidell brooks gallery was pleased to sponsor a five year old basketball team at the dowd ymca. the ymca's mission is to put christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. ymca youth sports programs promote healthy kids, families and communities by placing a priority on family involvement, healthy competition, the value of participation over winning, and team building.
our team voted to call themselves the leaping lizards and oh did they leap. we had a few girls that could shoot like no tomorrow and boys that ran down the court so fast they were practically a blur. lots of fun was had and we wanted to give special thanks to billy thomas and adrain stewart for being awesome coaches!
