hidell brooks gallery had a wonderful field trip this past friday. we headed up to greensboro early in the morning to pick up a commission from jacob cooley, have lunch with one of our favorite decorators/fabulous blogger holly phillips and see adamsleigh show house all in one day. after securing the cooley commission and having a brief visit with jacob we headed over to the promixity hotel to have lunch with holly at print works bistro. the food was amazing including white and green asparagus, truffle fries, lentils in phyllo over greens with carrots and chocolate carmel cake for dessert.

we were sad to leave the proximity but we were excited to head over and see adamsleigh. full disclosure to anyone heading up to see the fabulous show house you have to take a shuttle to the actual house. adamsleigh is an amazing house with lots of history and we were wowed by every detail. not only by the group of very talented designers who transformed the home but the grandeur of the home itself. the kitchen was the original from the 1930"s! a water fountain in the upstairs hallway was revolutionary back in the day. other innovative technological amenities of the home were a circulation system that pre-dated modern air conditioning, intercoms, elevators, and even a vacuum system. there was something to see at ever turn. here is a peek inside the beautiful home.

we came to adamsleigh to see lisa mende & traci zeller's beautiful dressing room. they put a lot of thought in every detail of their room including the custom wallpaper created from the architectural drawing of adamsleigh. the art they chose from hidell brooks looked perfect. we had a incredible time exploring the estate.
