hidell brooks arrived at our corporate retreat amidst thunder and lightening with the island roads flooded with ankle deep water. the marsh was hardly visible shrouded in a veil of fog reminiscent of one of jacob cooley's paintings that just arrived at the gallery recently. it was the perfect beginning to our annual trip feeling as if we were driving right into a painting!

hidell brooks uses this time to regroup and brainstrorm about the direction of the gallery. we have an awesome exhibition schedule next year with spring solo exhibitions scheduled for amanda talley, bill braun, ruth ava lyons, selena beaudry, page davis, johan hagaman and jenny nelson. fall 2016 brings david kroll, sarah helser and kiki slaughter. we are in awe of our amazing artists and cannot wait to see what comes out of their studios.
