summer has flown by full of wonderful installs that have keep us busy, busy, busy!  we snuck out last week to enjoy the beauty of the north carolina coast one more time before the fall season prep is upon us.

tonight is the night for the opening of new work by geraldine neuwirth and anke schofield. both artist's exhibitions are powerful and speak volumes through their use of color palette and imagery.

10 artists, 10 bottles a new exhibition at the world of coca-cola in atlanta opened this week.  10 local artists were asked to each paint a 4-ft. sculpted coke bottle into a unique piece expressing their diverse styles.

hidell brooks is very excited to open three solo exhibitions on friday for mary rountree moore, kiki slaughter and katy scheidner.  all three women are strong painters who approach their canvases through completely different paths.

along with having an opening this week shop five one five is popping up at hidell brooks this thursday, may 4th from 10-4 pm.  five one five is set to open their new space soon in eastover and we have always felt art + fashion go hand in hand. 

only a few days left to see herb jackson's solo exhibition up through saturday.  lots of new and exciting work has come in this week including new paintings by gallery artists kate long stevenson and ruth ava lyons.  

hidell brooks gallery is thrilled to be having a solo exhibition for north carolina native herb jackson.  after a long break not showing in the area herb jackson is looking forward to coming home. 

hidell brooks had a wonderful time last week when 16 students from the brookstone school after school art program spent the afternoon with us.

tonight is the night for the opening of recent work by john folsom and Vs. mary nelson sinclair.  all new works are hung, lit and ready for viewing.

we are thrilled to be having an exhibition of recent works by atlanta artist john folsom.  hidell brooks has a long history of showing folsom's enigmatic mixed media paintings since the late 90's.
