hidell brooks is gearing up for sarah helser's solo exhibition opening on november 7th. in the meantime we had the pleasure of installing portrait commissions by sarah at a wonderful client's home. the client commissioned sarah to paint their three children this past spring. sarah photographed the children each individually and there was a lot of consideration on how to approach the portraits. it was decided the daughters would be painted in a traditional bust portrait style which depicts the subject's shoulders and head. the son would be more of a half length portrait within a landscape setting. the end results captures each child to a tee.
