​maggie currey's beautiful bedroom is featured in the may issue of southern living. hidell brooks helped with the art for the newly renovated bedroom.  a large new painting by eric aho fit perfectly in the space above her bed and looked amazing in the room.  maggie is behind lamshop a local web boutique offering custom furniture and home accessories.

kate long stevenson dropped by the gallery this week to drop off a new body of work.  the painting are stunning.  the color and brushstrokes mixed with the negative white space gives the paintings a very raw feeling.  kate is a graduate of college of charleston and is known for both her figurative and abstract paintings. 

just uncrated two new amazing chris hayman paintings that arrived today.  she never disappoints!  they make the perfect pair or one alone would be stunning.

hidell brooks gallery had a wonderful field trip this past friday.  we headed up to greensboro early in the morning to pick up a commission from jacob cooley, have lunch with one of our favorite decorators/fabulous blogger holly phillips and ​see adamsleigh show house all in one day.

the pop up gallery in winston salem feels like forever ago now that we have reopened in our expanded space.  hidell brooks had a fabulous time up there and felt so welcomed by everyone we met in winston.

the adamsleigh showhouse in greensboro is open for viewing through may 5th.  the showhouse is sponsored by traditional home magazine benefiting the junior league of greensboro's mission and their partnership with cone elementary.  hidell brooks gallery had the pleasure of helping designers lisa mende and traci zeller with art for their gentleman's dressing room and bath.

hidell brooks gallery is pleased to be sponsoring the mint museum's spring celebration room to bloom.  this year is especially exciting for the mint auxiliary for it is celebrating the 60th anniversary of room to bloom.  over this time the auxiliary has contributed over $12,000,000 towards the mint museum, including funds and acquisitions. 

christ church kindergarten is having their annual low country boil to celebrate the children of christ church on friday, april 12th in the gardens of christ church.  the low country boil is from 7:00 - 10:00 PM and the patron party is from 5:30 - 7:00 PM at the home of david and emily harry.

hidell brooks gallery is delighted to be in volume 2 of the scout guide charlotte.  the scout guide originated in charlottesville, va by susie matheson and christy ford.  a blogger and a home antique store owner who saw the need in a guide to highlight the best locally owned stores in their city that would take an individual a few months or even years to find these hidden treasures.
